Thick batons of halloumi with a light flour coat, crisp outside and squeaky within. A drizzle of honey and chilli flakes makes them disappear fast.
Ingredients
- 500 gram halloumi
- 3 tablespoon plain flour
- 1 tablespoon olive oil spray
- 2 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon dried chilli flakes
- 1 piece lemon
Instructions
- 1Pat the halloumi dry and cut it into thick chip-sized batons.
- 2Toss the batons in the flour until lightly coated all over.
- 3Spray with oil and lay half the chips in the basket with space between them. A 5-6L basket takes about 250 g, so cook two batches.
- 4Cook at 200°C for 4 minutes, then turn each chip with tongs.
- 5Cook at 200°C for another 2 minutes until golden, then repeat with the second batch.
- 6Pile onto a plate, drizzle with honey and scatter chilli flakes and a squeeze of lemon over the top.
