Ham and Cheese Pinwheels

Flaky puff pastry spirals with ham, cheese and a whisper of tomato. A five-ingredient bake the kids will ask for on repeat.

Ingredients

  • 2 piece frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 150 gram sliced ham, chopped
  • 1 cup grated tasty cheese
  • 1 tablespoon milk, for brushing

Instructions

  1. 1Heat the oven to 200°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. 2Spread each pastry sheet with a thin layer of tomato paste.
  3. 3Scatter the ham and cheese evenly over both sheets.
  4. 4Roll each sheet up tightly into a log.
  5. 5Cut each log into 6 slices and lay them flat on the tray.
  6. 6Brush the tops with milk and bake for 18 minutes, until puffed and golden.
  7. 7Cool for 5 minutes before serving, or cool fully to pack for lunchboxes.
