Buttery Scone Mix Jar

A jar of scone mix that only needs cream and lemonade to become a tray of tall, tender scones. Perfect for surprise visitors or a rainy afternoon.
Ingredients
- 600 gram self-raising flour
- 50 gram caster sugar
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 40 gram full cream milk powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- 1Sift the self-raising flour and baking powder into a large bowl.
- 2Whisk through the caster sugar, milk powder and salt.
- 3Pour the mix into a 1.5 litre jar and seal it tightly.
- 4Label the jar with the date and the to-use amounts below.
- 5TO USE: stir 350 g of mix with 150 ml thickened cream and 150 ml lemonade until just combined. Pat out to 3 cm thick, cut 12 rounds and bake at 220°C for 12 minutes.
- 6Store in an airtight jar in a cool dark cupboard for up to 3 months.
