An instant soup mix built on potato flakes and dried leek that turns creamy in five minutes on the stove. A jar of comfort for busy nights.
Ingredients
- 200 gram instant mashed potato flakes
- 40 gram dried onion flakes
- 100 gram full cream milk powder
- 3 tablespoon vegetable stock powder
- 2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon ground white pepper
Instructions
- 1Tip the potato flakes and dried onion flakes into a large bowl.
- 2Add the milk powder, stock powder, garlic powder, parsley and white pepper.
- 3Stir thoroughly so the seasoning is spread right through the flakes.
- 4Spoon into a 1 litre jar and label with the date.
- 5TO USE: whisk 1 cup of mix into 750 ml just-boiled water in a saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring, until smooth and creamy. Serves 4.
- 6Store in an airtight jar in a cool dark cupboard for up to 4 months.
