Sweet, sharp and glossy, with two mustards for depth. The dressing that gets kids eating salad — and it doubles as a chicken marinade.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon wholegrain mustard
- 2 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 125 millilitre olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper
Instructions
- 1Put both mustards, the honey and the vinegar in a screw-top jar.
- 2Screw the lid on and shake hard for 10 seconds so the honey dissolves before any oil goes in.
- 3Add the olive oil, salt and pepper.
- 4Shake again for 30 seconds until thick, pale gold and completely combined.
- 5Taste and add another teaspoon of honey if your mustard is a fierce one.
- 6Keeps in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Shake again before each use.
