Five Minute Chocolate Mug Cake

A single-serve chocolate cake made in a mug in the microwave. For those nights when dessert cannot wait.
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoon self-raising flour
- 2 tablespoon caster sugar
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 3 tablespoon milk
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- 1Put the flour, caster sugar and cocoa in a large microwave-safe mug and stir with a fork.
- 2Add the milk, oil and vanilla and stir until no dry pockets remain, scraping the bottom of the mug.
- 3Drop the chocolate chips into the centre of the batter.
- 4Microwave on high for 90 seconds, until risen and just set on top.
- 5Stand for 1 minute, then eat straight from the mug, with ice cream if you like.
