Cheese and Chive Damper Rolls

Little damper-style rolls flecked with tasty cheese and chives. Great warm with soup or split and buttered at a barbecue.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cup self-raising flour
- 50 gram butter
- 1 cup tasty cheese
- 2 tablespoon chives
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 200°C and line a baking tray.
- 2Rub the butter into the flour and salt until it looks like breadcrumbs.
- 3Stir in most of the cheese and the chopped chives.
- 4Add the milk and mix into a soft dough.
- 5Shape the dough into 6 rolls and place them on the tray, just touching.
- 6Top with the remaining cheese and bake for 20 minutes until golden.
- 7Cool briefly on the tray, then serve warm.
