Tinned salmon, dry pasta and frozen peas simmer in the same pot until the sauce goes creamy. Twenty minutes from pantry to plate.
Ingredients
- 350 gram dried spiral pasta
- 2 tin tinned pink salmon
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 900 millilitre chicken stock
- 200 millilitre light cooking cream
- 2 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
Instructions
- 1Tip the pasta, drained salmon, frozen peas, stock, garlic and pepper into a large saucepan.
- 2Put it on high heat until it bubbles, then turn it down to medium and set a timer for 14 minutes, stirring every few minutes.
- 3Pour in the cream and lemon juice and stir for 2 minutes until the sauce coats the pasta.
- 4Keeps 2 days in the fridge. It is not great frozen once cooked, so reheat chilled portions in the microwave for 2 minutes with a splash of milk stirred through.
