Lasagna

Layers of pasta sheets, rich beef Bolognese sauce, creamy bechamel, and gooey cheese, baked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 250 grams lasagna sheets
  • 400 grams minced beef
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves garlic cloves
  • 400 grams canned tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 50 grams butter
  • 50 grams all-purpose flour
  • 500 milliliters milk
  • 100 grams grated Parmesan cheese
  • 200 grams mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. 2In a large skillet, sauté the minced beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned. Add canned tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. 3In a saucepan, melt butter, add flour, and cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Cook the bechamel sauce until thickened. Stir in half of the Parmesan cheese.
  4. 4In a baking dish, layer lasagna sheets, beef Bolognese sauce, bechamel sauce, and mozzarella. Repeat the layers, finishing with bechamel sauce and mozzarella on top.
  5. 5Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  6. 6Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy!
