Slow Cooker Napoli Meatball Dump Pot

A bag of frozen meatballs and a bottle of passata become a slow-simmered sauce with no stirring at all. Spoon it over pasta or into rolls.

Ingredients

  • 1 kilogram frozen beef meatballs
  • 700 millilitre tomato passata
  • 1 tin tinned diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoon dried italian herbs
  • 1 teaspoon raw sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. 1Tip the frozen meatballs into the slow cooker straight from the bag.
  2. 2Pour the passata, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, garlic, herbs, sugar and salt over the top.
  3. 3Put the lid on and cook on low for 5 hours, then stir once before serving.
  4. 4Keeps in the fridge for 3 days. Freeze in meal-sized containers for 3 months and reheat from frozen in the microwave for 5 minutes, stirring halfway.
